ako pričaš o ovome:
možemo nešto iskombinovati, ali ga moram prvo postaviti jer mi je na DVD-u, to je od Kreševljaković brothers film.
a ima još jedan sa sličnim nazivom to je film o U2 kad su dolazili u Sarajevo, to skidam upravo pa bi to poslije zakačio.

The Beautiful Century

The Beautiful Century is an approximately 1-hour-45-minute documentary on the growth of soccer around the world since the founding of FIFA in 1904. The documentary is broken into four chapters, each approximately the same length, and each with a specific focus that is connected to the central theme of the growth of soccer. The first chapter, entitled “European Origins,” looks at the origins of the game, specifically focusing on the formation of FIFA and how the game expanded from Europe to other parts of the world. The second chapter, entitled “Football Missionaries,” looks at the ancient roots of soccer and its variants, and how individuals and club teams helped to grow the game.

The third chapter, entitled “Champion’s Tale,” looks at the FIFA World Cup, soccer’s biggest event, which began in 1930 and is held every four years. Footage from most of the World Cup’s is shown, with only a few Cups being excluded. Also included in this chapter is a brief segment on the World Cup trophy, including an interview with Silvio Gazzaniga, the designer of the new World Cup trophy that debuted in 1974. Footage from the tournament games played by the eventual champion is used, and some champions are briefly chronicled from their opening round game to the title game. While the 1986 World Cup and eventual champion Argentina are touched upon, the infamous “Hand of God” goal by Diego Maradona is not shown, nor even discussed.

The final chapter, entitled “Expansion & Beyond,” looks at how soccer is growing in developing nations and how the women’s game is growing in popularity. Throughout the documentary, when the topic switches from one country to another, a graphic shows the outline of the country on a globe (with the nation’s flag within the outline) and then draws a line to the new country, which is also outlined. Interviews with past and present soccer players, as well as current and former FIFA officials are mixed in to provide context for the documentary content.

Japan in Colour - The Wonderful World of Albert Kahn

In 1908, the French banker and philanthropist Albert Kahn launched one of the most ambitious projects in the history of photography. A pacifist, internationalist and utopian idealist, Kahn decided to use his private fortune to improve understanding between the nations of the world. To this end, he created what he called his Archive of the Planet. For the next two decades, he dispatched professional photographers to document the everyday lives of people in more than 50 countries all around the world. Kahn's wealth enabled him to supply his photographers with the most advanced camera technology available. They used the autochrome - the first user-friendly camera system capable of producing true-colour photographs.

Some of the most important of all the 72,000 colour images in Kahn's Archive were shot during three separate visits (in 1908, 1912 and 1926) to Japan. As an international financier, Kahn had established a network of contacts that included some of the most prominent members of Japan's business, banking and political elites. Consequently, Kahn's photographers were granted privileged access to places that would have otherwise been off limits - including some of the royal palaces, where they shot colour portraits of the princes and princesses from Japan's Imperial family. But some of their most fascinating images capture moments from the lives of ordinary Japanese people at work and play. This film showcases Kahn's treasury of films and autochromes of silk-farmers, Shinto monks, schoolchildren, porcelain merchants, Kabuki stars and geishas - pictures that were recorded at a time when this fascinating country was going through momentous changes.

THE Young @ Heart Chorus is a senior citizens' choir from Northampton, Massachusetts, a historic town west of Boston. Two members of Sonic Youth, the New York alternative rock band, live there but the choir members are more like the sonic elderly. Most of them are between 70 and 100. Rehearsals start with the parking of Zimmer frames and turning down of hearing aids.

One reason for that is that they mostly sing rock'n'roll songs they've never heard of, some of which they don't much like. The chorus has been meeting weekly since 1982, under the musical direction of fiftysomething Bob Cilman, who's head of the Northampton Arts Council. Cilman realised early on that something extraordinary happened when old people sang young music. The lyrics often acquired a poignancy that was lacking or undetected in the original. Rock has always talked about "my generation" as if it was the only one, but when 92-year-old Eileen Hall launches into a stomping, Rex Harrison-style rendition of The Clash's Should I Stay Or Should I Go?, a whole new meaning attaches to the song. As far as Cilman is concerned, they don't have to like the song to make it worth singing - and they usually do come to like it later.

Hall is one of the stars of the film, an outspoken, sharp-witted ex-Londoner who married an American soldier and came to live in his country as a war bride. When the documentary was made in 2006, she was the only resident of her nursing home to have her own key. She often comes home late from rehearsals. Singing with the chorus helps her maintain her independence.

As the film makes clear, the choir is keeping a few of them alive; for that, they'd probably sing advertising jingles if Cilman wanted them to.

Even before the film, the choir had become famous, with tours around the world. That's partly because they're so good but also because they look so startling in performance - 25 white-haired rock stars belting out a version of Bob Dylan's Forever Young or Road To Nowhere, by the Talking Heads. Young @ Heart is about a seven-week intensive rehearsal period before a major concert in their home town in mid-2006. It's an irresistible film, completely disarming in the way it makes you fall in love with a lovely bunch of people and completely devastating when you realise that some will soon drop off the twig. If it also verges on being just slightly patronising at times, that's a quarrel with the filmmakers, not its participants.
